Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has hailed new signing John Terry as one of the last natural born leaders.
Terry recently joined the Villians on a one year deal following a successful 22 year spell with Chelsea, during which he came to be widely regarded as one of the most gifted defenders of this generation.
Bruce said of the 36-year-old Terry, “It’s not often you get a natural leader of men these days and John has been that over the years. To get him here is a great coup for all of us.”
Terry will add leadership and quality to the Villa team, who will no doubt be hoping to launch a promotion push next season.
It remains to be seen if Terry will end up replacing James Chester as the team’s on field leader though as Bruce is a fan of both players.
