Tottenham Hotspur open talks with 26-year-old defender

Kyle Walker is reportedly involved in talks with current club Tottenham after it has emerged that Manchester United and Manchester City are interested in signing him.

As City have struggled defensively this season and with Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna expected to leave the club at the end of the season, they will definitely be signing world class defenders.

As the England international is a key member of the Spurs side and one of the most highly rated defenders in the Premier League, the North London club will aim to keep him.

The 26-year-old signed a new contract with the North London club worth £70,000 a week last September. However as City will likely offer a salary that his higher than this, the Spurs board may have to offer their prized asset a new deal to keep him content.

City also reportedly have Serge Aurier of Paris Saint Germain and Djibril Sidibe of Monaco on their list of potential signings. Due to their financial muscle it is likely that they will manage to sign at least one of the players.
