Sunderland target two prolific strikers to replace Defoe

It looks like Sunderland are preparing for Championship football next season by targeting the signings forwards Tammy Abraham and Sam Gallagher.

With the club likely to be relegated this season, they are likely to lose a number of players including top scorer Jermain Defoe, hence it will be essential that they make a lot of quality signings, especially if they want to win promotion straight back to the top tier.

Despite Blackburn struggling in the Championship this season, Gallagher has scored 12 goals this season and could well move to Sunderland as they could offer him better prospects.

Luring Abraham to the Stadium of Light may be a more difficult matter. The England under-21 international has bagged 25 goals for Bristol City on loan from Chelsea this season

Though it will be difficult to see him breaking into the Chelsea first team next season, he may be loaned to a Premier League outfit.
