According to Chelsea great Didier Drogba, Romelu Lukaku would be a great fit for Chelsea. The former Ivory Coast international also said that the Belgian international would be keen on a return to Stamford Bridge.
After prolific form this season, Lukaku is likely to leave Everton at the end of the season after stating that it is his ambition to compete in the UEFA Champions League.
The 23-year-old spent three years at Chelsea during which he failed to establish himself within the first team and did not score a single Premier League goal.
During his time with Chelsea, he had successful loan spells with West Brom and Everton before his loan deal with the Toffees was made permanent for £28 million.
Drogba now however believes that Lukaku would do better this time around and said, “If he comes to Chelsea it will be great for the club. He knows the house already and I think he wants to prove he can be successful here, he didn’t get the chance to do it.”
