Everton are reportedly interested in signing Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier.
Everton director of football Steve Walsh is said to be considering signing Trippier as a replacement for Seamus Coleman, who is set to undergo rehabilitation after suffering a long term injury while on international duty.
The 28-year-old will spend the next right months on the sidelines after sustaining a serious injury due to a tackle from Neil Taylor.
Since arriving at White Hart Lane in 2015 from Burnley, Trippier has not disappointed. However he sits below Kyle Walker in Mauricio Pochettino’s pecking order and hence does not receive regular first team football.
An offer from Everton, a club that are progressing and who may be able to offer regular game time, may be appealing to Trippier. He may also be able to provide Coleman with competition once he is fully fit. The Toffee’s will have to fork out a fee believed to be £6 million if they wish to land the 26-year-old.
