Tottenham have joined the race to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita as they hope to challenge for major trophies as well as become competitive in the Champions League next season, according to the Daily Mirror.
The 22-year-old has been a key player for his team this season, RB Leipzig, who have been a surprise package in the Bundesliga and are pushing for a place in the Champions League next season.
The Guinea international has contributed six goals and eight assists in the League for his team this season, helping them enjoy a lofty second place in the German League behind giants Bayern Munich.
Keita has a deal with Leipzig until 2020. The club will definitely be keen on offer him a new deal in order to persuade him to stay, however big clubs are likely to make approaches in order to acquire his services.
A move to a club with bigger financial muscle will be tempting but it remains to be seen whether Keita will be interested.
