Pochettino anxiously waiting for results on midfielder’s injury

Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks was taken to hospital after suffering an injury during his clubs 2-0 Premiership victory over Burnley.

The 21-year-old received oxygen and had to be carried off on a stretcher after a freak accident, which involved him falling into the Burnley dugout after attempting a tackle on Stephen Ward.

“He is in hospital now, doing scans. Now we need to wait,” Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino said,”We wish it is not a big issue and we hope it’s not a big problem for the future for him.”

Spurs, who have other injury concerns as well, will certainly hope that Winks will not be out for their upcoming games.

Eric Lamela will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on an injury to his hip while Harry Kane and Danny Rose, who are both key players of the North London side, are both also out with ankle and knee injuries respectively.
