Pochettino wants Tottenham striker to learn from Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino believes that the club’s youngster Kazaiah Sterling will benefit more from staying at the club and learning from Harry Kane rather than leaving on loan.

The 18-year-old has yet to appear for the Spurs first team but Pochettino believes that it is only a matter of time before he eventually breaks in.

Pochettino said, “I prefer to have our young players here and offer them the chance to be first-team players than send them out on loan.

“One example is Kazaiah Sterling. Next season he will be here and it means every day there is a young striker training with Harry Kane. There is no better teacher to learn from.”

Sterling has come up the youth ranks of Spurs and featured 13 times for various youth teams this season. The majority of his playing time came in the FA youth Cup where he has notched four goals from five matches.
