Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Tottenham Hotspur will prevail over Millwall during the teams FA Cup clash this weekend.
Tottenham are in second place in the Premier League and are high in confidence after defeating high flyers Everton 3-2 at White Hart Lane last weekend.
Millwall on the other hand, are languishing in sixth position in League one which obviously indicates that there is a huge gulf in quality between the sides.
The Lions however can take heart from the fact that they have eliminated Premier League clubs Leicester, Bournemouth and Watford from the competition and although Spurs are likely to win, they cannot afford to get the basics wrong.
“You have to go back to 1939 for the last time the Lions beat Spurs and I can’t see a shock at the Lane given the hosts’ excellent home form this season.
“I thought Spurs were brilliant against Everton on Sunday and they have progressed from 13 of their last 14 FA Cup ties against lower league opposition – expect that to be 14 of 15 at the weekend,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.
Though Spurs are unlikely to win the Premier League this season, they will fancy their chances in the FA Cup.
