According to the Scottish Sun, Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon will sign a contract renewal with the Bhoys this week, which will keep him at Parkhead until the summer of 2020 and this will certainly come as a boost to fans of the club.
The 34-year-old is believed to have already agreed to the contract and is set to sign the deal that will put an end to speculation that he may join Chelsea during the summer to provide backup to Thibaut Courtois.
Chelsea did make two bids for Gordan during the January transfer window believed to be in the region of £3 and £4 million, which were rejected.
Gordon has been brilliant in goal for Celtic this season and currently boasts 23 clean sheets out of the 40 matches he has played.
Celtic sit in first position on the Ladbrokes Premiership and are well on course to claim their 48th League title.
