Tottenham’s Moussa Dembele has admitted that it was nice to return to the home ground of his former team Fulham during Spurs’ 3-0 win in the FA Cup at Craven Cottage.
The Belgian played for Fulham from 2010 to 2012 after arriving from Dutch club AZ Alkmaar before transferring to Tottenham in 2012.
The 29 year old received a hero’s welcome from fans of his former team as his current team enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 win thanks to a splendid hat-trick from Harry Kane.
Dembele admitted that what made the match special to him was enjoying support of both the Tottenham and Fulham fans. He tweeted, “Thanks for the support from both the Spurs and Fulham fans, nice to be back.”
Dembele has made 24 appearances in all competitions for Spurs this season and has managed one assist this season. He will likely see out his contract, which expires in 2019.
