During his interview with BT Sport (via HITC) on February 16, Jermaine Jenas admitted that he finds it worrying that Tottenham are getting outworked in matches.
Spurs suffered a disappointing 1-0 Europa League loss against Gent after a haphazard performance by their standards. Despite having a strong lineup, they failed to impose any threat on Gent.
What will certainly be concerning for the North London Club is the fact that they failed to recover after their 2-0 defeat to Liverpool last weekend. Jenas admits that this concerns him about his former side saying, “I didn’t like the 4-3-3 initially.
“What’s worrying is that for a Tottenham team renowned for working hard, they’ve been outworked in their last two games. I’ve not seen Harry Kane have a kick for two games. They’ve been getting outworked, that’s a worry.”
What is especially concerning is that Gent actually opted to rest players and yet still won.
