Report: Tottenham keen on signing £25million-rated African attacker

According to the Express, Tottenham will make an attempt to lure Winfred Zaha who has been on their radar for a long time during the summer.

Last summer, Palace chairman Steve Parish called Spurs £12 million offer for the Ivory Coast international “ridiculous” with Palace reportedly only offering to sell for more than double the amount.

Palace will no longer be in a rush to sell after they had a cash injection due to the £25 million sale of Yannick Bolasie to Everton.

Spurs however will remain keen on signing Zaha. Despite Palace struggling to avoid relegation, Zaha has played arguably the best football of his career this season, contributing four goals and eight assists for his club.

Should Palace be relegated, Spurs chances of luring the player will also be improved and Palace will be forced to sell. Zaha’s current deal with Palace runs until 2020, which means Palace will cash in heavily should he be sold.
