During an interview with Sky Sports, Eric Dier said that Tottenham is the “perfect place” for Dele Alli to be playing and that he may struggle to adapt at another club.
In September Alli signed a six year contract with the North London club, however his impressive performances this season have reportedly attracted the interest of Paris Saint Germain as well as Real Madrid.
Thus far the 20-year-old has bagged eleven goals this season Dier believes his team-mate is at the right club for his progress.
“He’s still a very young boy, I think people need to remember that,” Dier said. “I think he’s at the perfect place because he’s got a support system around him and a manager and a group of players that will take care of him.”
If Tottenham wish to tie down Alli for the long term, then they will have to start challenging for and winning trophies in the coming years.
