A reliable Journalist has reported that Southend teenager Nathan Bishop has been allowed to train with Tottenham.
Southend Echo reporter Chris Phillips revealed on his personal twitter account that the 17-year-old was given an invitation by the North London club to come and train with them.
Bishop has yet to earn a first team appearance for the Southend senior team, however he is said to have impressed for the Shrimper’s U18 team after displaying good form in the EFL Youth Alliance South East Conference.
The impressive performances of Bishop have helped Southend’s youngsters reach second place in the league behind Leyton Orient.
Should Tottenham sign Bishop, it is unlikely that he will be included in the first team given that Hugo Lloris, Michel Vorm and Pau Lopez currently occupy the slots. However he may provide a backup option in a season or two if he impresses Pochettino.
