Middlesbrough plotting a move for promising Spanish attacker

According to Gazette Live, Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka has now turned his attentions to a second former Barcelona player: Everton’s Gerard Deulofeu. Deulofeu is only 22 years old, but has not been a part of Ronald Koeman’s plans for the Toffees.

After the 4-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday, it really doesn’t look like he is needed, either. Despite Everton’s new found money, they’re still keen on cashing in on players that aren’t going to playing much.

This is a move that is probably necessary for all involved.  Deulofeu still has a chance to develop into a great player, but he needs time to play and grow.

Middlesbrough need more of an attacking threat from out wide, and this could be exactly that. And Everton could use a little more money to shop with. This one seems fairly likely; it’ll come down to price and time!
