According to Squawka, Tottenham Hotspur are set to compete with rivals Liverpool for the signature of young English prospect, Jacob Murphy. The youngster is currently playing for struggling Championship side Norwich City, for whom he has featured 21 times this season.
While the club’s overall form has been shoddy to say the least, Murphy has been consistently impressive and has five goals and five assists. Spurs have been scouting the player throughout the current season and are keen on signing him as quickly as possible. However, the Londoners need to hurry up since Liverpool are also equally interested in the gifted winger and are looking to move ahead of their rivals and make a bid in the coming days.
Norwich on the other hand, are open to letting go of their star performer, but would be more inclined to having the Murphy finish the current campaign with the Canaries considering the conundrum they are in at the moment.
