According to reports from the Daily Express, Chelsea and West Ham United are currently in negotiations over the transfer of Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek is clearly an extremely talented young player and it is clear to see that Chelsea rate the midfielder very highly.
The 20-year-old made his debut for the Blues a couple of seasons ago and enjoyed a breakthrough last term after being awarded 17 appearances in all competitions.
It was expected that Loftus-Cheek would be staking a claim for a regular place in the Chelsea starting lineup this season but things have not quite panned out well for the youngster.
Loftus-Cheek set for West Ham move?
The Englishman has clearly not managed to impress manager Antonio Conte and as a result, has been limited to only 158 minutes of action in all competitions so far during the current campaign.
With the likes of Cesc Fabregas, John Obi Mikel and Marko van Ginkel all struggling for regular minutes on the pitch as well, Loftus-Cheek’s chances of getting first team football on a consistent basis at Stamford Bridge looks bleak to say the least.
As a result, Loftus-Cheek would be better served moving out on loan to continue his development and according to reports from the Daily Express, claims have been made that Chelsea are already in talks with West Ham United over the transfer for the young midfielder.
It has been stated that West Ham have already launched an enquiry for Loftus-Cheek and there is every possibility that the England Under-21 star will be plying his trade at the London Stadium in January.
