Chelsea have launched a double bid for Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Milan Badelj, according to reports from Haber7’N and Calcio Mercato respectively.
Premier League side Chelsea have most certainly enjoyed a very fruitful campaign so far under the tutelage of new manager Antonio Conte and it does look like the Italian has turned the Blues into title contenders once again.
Chelsea are currently on a brilliant five match winning streak in the Premier League and more impressively, the Blues have managed to score 16 and concede none during their fantastic winning run.
Nonetheless, the competition in the Premier League this season is fiercer than it has ever been and Conte is certainly not a man who will be complacent despite his side’s wonderful run of form.
As a result, the 47-year-old is widely expected to be strengthening his squad during the upcoming January transfer window and due to the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Oscar and John Obi Mikel set to leave Stamford Bridge, bringing in a couple of midfielders will surely be a priority for the Chelsea boss.
Now according to reports emerging out of Turkey and Italy, claims have been made that Chelsea have already started off their pursuit to bolster their midfield lineup by making concrete bids for the duo of Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Milan Badelj.
Çalhanoğlu is currently plying his trade for Bayer Leverkusen and according to Turkish outlet Haber7’N, Chelsea are already said to have entered negotiations for the 22-year-old, with the German side allegedly demanding around £17 million for their prized asset.
Badelj is another player whom Chelsea have made an offer for (if reports from the Calcio Mercato are to be believed) and a bid of around £10 million is likely to see the Blues lure the Croatian international away from Fiorentina.
