Chelsea planning an extravagant deal which will get rid of Fabregas

According to reports from the Metro, Premier League giants Chelsea are plotting a sensational move for Paris-Saint Germain midfielder Marco Verratti.

Cesc Fabregas was arguably one of the most important players during Chelsea’s Premier League title triumph during the 2014/15 campaign but the midfielder has since gone through a sensational fall from grace.

Fabregas endured a terrible season last term and his struggles have further been compounded during the current campaign as the midfielder has fallen down the pecking order at the club under new manager Antonio Conte.

Fabregas heading to PSG?

As a result, it is widely expected that Fabregas will be leaving Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window and a move to Italy has been seen as a possibility for the Spanish international.

Now according to reports from the Metro though, Chelsea are currently plotting a creative transfer deal to get rid of Fabregas. It has been claimed that Chelsea will look to ramp up their pursuit for long time target Marco Verratti by offering Paris-Saint Germain £43 million as well as the services of Fabregas.

PSG clearly do not want to lose a player of Verratti’s quality but if Fabregas is provided as an option, there is a real possibility that the French giants could potentially accept Chelsea’s reported proposal this winter.
