Report: Chelsea star not keen on move to local rivals

Out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas would reject any offer from West Ham United, according to the Daily Star.

The report claims Slaven Bilic is keen to take Fabregas to the Olympic Stadium, but the Spain international would only consider leaving the Blues for another big European club.

Chelsea are believed to be open to the prospect of loaning out Fabregas in January and even though the Spaniard’s priority would be to stay and fight for his place at Stamford Bridge, he’d consider leaving Conte’s team if another top club comes for him.

Fabregas has been a peripheral figure at Stamford Bridge since Antonio Conte’s arrival last summer, with the Italian manager preferring Nemanja Matic, N’Golo Kante and Oscar over the former Barcelona playmaker.

He’s only started 3 games in all competitions for Chelsea this season and his situation is unlikely to change while Conte’s at the helm.

The 29-year-old moved to Chelsea in 2014 and helped the Blues win the Premier League in his first season at Stamford Bridge, but his performances since then have largely been underwhelming.

It seems like Conte wouldn’t mind losing Fabregas, so maybe the experienced midfielder should move to another club in search for regular first-team football.
