Speaking to L’Equipe (Daily Express in English), Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi has stated that it is ‘nice’ to be linked with a move to Premier League side Chelsea.
Chelsea continued their wonderful run of form with a stunning 5-0 victory over Everton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and following such a dominant display, many have labeled the Blues as genuine contenders for the Premier League title this season.
While things are certainly going very well for Chelsea at the moment, the competition in the league is extremely fierce and it is believed that manager Antonio Conte will be looking to use the January transfer window to bolster his squad.
A host of high profile names such as Leonardo Bonucci and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have been linked with a move to Chelsea over the past few weeks and recently, Sevilla star Steven N’Zonzi has also been mentioned as a potential target for the Blues.
N’Zonzi happy to be linked with Chelsea
N’Zonzi has been made aware of the interest from Chelsea and in response, the former Blackburn Rovers star has gone on to state that it is ‘nice’ to be linked with such big clubs but insisted that he is currently content with life in Andalusia.
The 27-year-old was quoted saying by French publication L’Equipe, “It’s nice, it’s good. But I always say that this type of club is interested in other players too.
“I am not the only one. I know that big clubs are interested in many players. I focus on what I do at Sevilla. Until there is something concrete, we must remain professional.
“Some clubs were interested [in the summer], but I feel good at Sevilla. I enjoy the game, the football, I like the way Sevilla play, I feel good in the city, with the fans and the club and I’m enjoying myself.”
