Chelsea made a stunning start to their campaign under new manager Antonio Conte but the cracks have slowly started to appear for the Blues in recent weeks.

Chelsea suffered a disappointing 2-1 home loss at the hands of Liverpool a fortnight ago before falling to an embarrassing 3-0 defeat against rivals Arsenal during the week.

The defeat against the Gunners is said to have irked Conte and the Daily Telegraph recently claimed that the Italian boss held a meeting with club owner Roman Abramovich regarding a potential squad overhaul, even though the billionaire has already invested £115 million on the squad this summer.

As a result, it has been no surprise whatsoever in seeing a host of players being linked with a move to Chelsea in recent times and now according to reports from ESPN, the duo of Antoine Griezmann and Antonio Rudiger have been mentioned as confirmed targets for the Blues.

Griezmann is arguably one of the best attacking players in world football at the moment and it has been claimed that Chelsea are looking at the possibility of activating his £85 million release clause at Atletico Madrid next summer.

Rudiger is another player on the shortlist of Chelsea and the Roma central defender will be pursued by the Blues if he is able to prove his fitness following a serious knee ligament injury.
