Chelsea are keen on securing the services of Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies, according to reports from the Sun
Ben Davies has established himself as one of the finest young full-backs in the Premier League over the past few seasons and many expect the 23-year-old become a top class player in the coming years.
Despite his wonderful talent though, Davies has been unable to dislodge Danny Rose as the first choice left-back for Tottenham and there has been a bit of speculation that the Welsh international could potentially think about leaving White Hart Lane.
Now in shock reports from the Sun, it has been claimed that Premier League giants Chelsea are currently considering a swoop for the former Swansea City man.
The report states that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has identified Davies as the ideal player to play in the left-side of his three man defence and the youngster is an even more attractive proposition due to the fact that he would help fill the homegrown quota at Stamford Bridge.
It is believed that Tottenham valued Davies at around £20 million and while paying the fee should not be a problem for Chelsea, a potential obstacle to the deal could be the fact that Spurs may not want to sell to their fierce rivals.
