Speaking to the Sun, Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has stated that David Luiz can prove to be a good signing for the Blues.
Chelsea were very active during the transfer deadline day and they managed to steal the headlines after acquiring the services of David Luiz from PSG for a staggering fee of around £34 million.
While Luiz is most certainly a very good player, there are question marks regarding his defensive abilities and many have questioned as to whether the Brazilian international will prove to be a good signing for Chelsea at such a huge price.
Now former Blues midfielder Frank Lampard has gone on to speak regarding Luiz’s return to Stamford Bridge and he has backed his ex-teammate to become a good acquisition for Chelsea.

Speaking to the Sun, Lampard said, “It’s a good signing. I played with David. He’s a great defender, great energy. At today’s prices, it’s probably not a bad signing generally.”
Luiz had managed to establish himself as a fan favourite during his previous spell at Chelsea and he will surely be hopeful of making a positive impact at Stamford Bridge once again.
