Premier League side Chelsea are plotting a move for Hoffenheim defender Niklas Sule, according to reports from the Daily Mail

Chelsea managed to significantly strengthen their backline this summer with the signings of David Luiz and Marcos Alonso on deadline day.

While the current Chelsea defensive lineup looks very strong at the moment following the arrival of the duo, manager Antonio Conte will perhaps be served well thinking about the future as well due to the fact that the likes of John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic and Gary Cahill have all entered their 30’s.

Now according to reports from the Daily Mail, it can be revealed that Conte is doing exactly that by eyeing up a swoop for Hoffenheim defender Niklas Sule.

Sule has managed to earn a reputation as one of the most promising centre backs in the world after making his debut back in 2013 and as a result of his exploits over the years; the 21-year-old has been courted by a host of top clubs across Europe.

Chelsea are one of the clubs said to have expressed an interest in Sule and the Daily Mail have gone on to claim that the Blues have launched an enquiry for the defender with a view to a transfer next summer.
