Reportedly, Conte has decided to offload Cesc Fabregas as he is surplus to his midfield requirements. According to the Mirror Sport, Chelsea have themselves offered the 28-year-old to the Spanish Giants. The Spaniard was not even in the starting line up against West Ham as the Italian boss chose to start their new signing N’Golo Kante.
The rumors also add that Juventus, Real Madrid or Barcelona made no approach for the midfielder, but Chelsea willingly offered him to the suitors. Conte is doing his business smartly, as he has targeted big guns who can pay hefty amount.
Speaking of Barcelona, they have already splashed big on 22-year-old Andre Gomes and will be unwilling to take Fabregas back. Whereas, Real Madrid already has players in surplus in the names of Isco and James Rodriguez. So the only potential option left for Fabregas is Juventus, who have lost Paul Pogba to Manchester United and are in a desperate need of a quality midfielder.
Kante will surely be first choice ahead of Fabregas for Conte, as his work rate is more than that of Fabregas. Fabregas’ sole place in the squad lies on the bench, unless Conte has plans to use Kante and Fabregas alternatively.
