Chelsea reportedly offer two players plus £65 million for key target

Lukaku

Premier League outfit Chelsea will offer the duo of Asmir Begovic as well as Loic Remy on top of a cool £65 million in order to secure the services of Romelu Lukaku, according to reports from the Sun

Lukaku left Chelsea for Everton on a permanent deal during the summer of 2014 for a fee believed to be in the region of around £28 million and following the move, the Belgian has proven himself as one of the most potent young strikers around Europe.

Lukaku has scored an impressive 61 goals in 127 appearances in all competitions for Everton and at just 23 at the moment; the former Anderlecht star could well become a world class attacker in the foreseeable future.

Given his exploits at Goodison Park over the years, it has been no surprise to see a host of clubs expressing their interest in signing Lukaku this summer and reports had claimed that Chelsea were planning to re-sign their former player.

Chelsea return with improved bid for Lukaku

A bid of around £65 million had been placed by the Premier League giants but it was immediately rebuffed as Everton have a much higher valuation of the striker.

Chelsea are not giving up on their pursuit for Lukaku though and now according to reports from the Sun, the Blues are ramping up their bid to sign the 23-year-old by offering Everton £65 million plus the services of Asmir Begovic and Loic Remy.

While Everton will most certainly not want to lose the services of Lukaku, the reported bid on the table by Chelsea is a very attractive one and the Toffees could well be tempted into cashing in on their star man this time around.
