Report: Tottenham look to sign 27-year-old international

According to the Express, Spurs are looking to sign the Fiorentina and Croatian midfielder, Milan Badelj.

Reports are saying that Fiorentina are asking around £12 million for the midfielder and Badelj’s agent says the move to England would be hard for his client to turn down.

Badelj plays mostly at center-midfield and often in a more defensive role. Badelj is well known for his intercepting ability and tackling, as well as his ability to link play up the field. The Croatian made 25 appearances for Fiorentina and scored 1 goal and recorded 1 assist.

This move is up in the air. I doubt Spurs want to spend £12 million on another defensive midfielder, when it is arguably their strongest position with Eric Dier, Moussa Dembele, and Ryan Mason all able to play the position.

However, with Champions League play and a title push on the mind they may look to deepen their midfield.
