Deal Completed: Chelsea miss out on top transfer target

Chelsea FC took a bit of a blow to their offseason transfer shopping list when rumored target Miralem Pjanic was snapped up by Italian giants Juventus.

According to The Evening Standard the former Roma Midfielder Pjanic was signed for a hefty fee of €32 million and signed him to a 5-year €4.5 million a year deal.

The Bosnian International Pjanic scored 12 goals and assisted 11 others for Roma last season and is renowned for his incisive passing abilities. Unfortunately for Chelsea fans, they will have to look elsewhere to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

After a bitterly disappointing Premier League campaign, Chelsea are looking to make some moves this offseason. The London-based club finished 10th last season, their worst finish since the 1996 season, and were as low as 14th which led the club to fire manager Jose Mourinho half-way through the season.
