Chelsea reportedly looking to raid the Serie A for talent

Higuain

As Goal.com reports, Gonzalo Higuain and Radja Nainggolan are reportedly to be in talks with Chelsea while Radamel Falcao is a confirmed exit and Loic Remy appears to be joining him.

The 28-year-old Higuain has been at the Italian club Napoli since 2013 and recently this past season he was the top goal scorer in Serie A with 36 goals.

The potential signing of Nainggolan would put the likes of Cesc Fabregas on alert as the Roma and Belgian midfielder had a strong season in midfield.

Falcao has been a confirmed exit and rightfully so as the Colombian was a major flop last season at Stamford Bridge where he scored just 1 goal in ten appearances for the Blues.

The future of French striker, Remy is in serious doubt as he only produced 3 goals in all competitions last season and new manager, Antonio Conte is reportedly keen to purchase a new striker to aid Diego Costa up front.

Although Chelsea’s midfield underperformed it’s still fairly strong so the pursuit of Nainggolan may not be needed unless the Blues are keen to sell someone like Fabregas or loan-out Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

However, someone like Higuain is desperately needed at Stamford Bridge as Conte’s current strike force is severely lacking in world-class quality after Costa.
