Guus Hiddink was left disappointed after Chelsea lost their lead in the last minute of the game to Liverpool. “It was of course a big disappointment in the last minute, but I can say Chelsea played a perfect game,” said the Boss after 1-1 draw at Anfield.
Hiddink praised the performance of his team after being in control for the majority of the 90 minutes. However, he was disappointed that they failed to kill the game even when they had three or four open chances.
“We had the intention to go for the second but we didn’t kill the game off in the second half,” said Hiddink. Chelsea were very well organised at the back and posed a constant threat while going forward.
The Dutchman appreciated team’s intent to play with a lot of ambition. He claimed to feel happy as he wants his players to play the game same way as they did against Liverpool at Anfield. Next up, Chelsea face premier League Champions Leicester City and Hiddink expects his team to play on the same level as they did against Liverpool.
