Done Deal: Chelsea agree whopping deal for superstar

Premier League strugglers Chelsea are reported to have reached an agreement with Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk for the 30m pound transfer of Alex Teixeira, according to The Metro. The 25-year-old Brazilian has been in fantastic form this season after having scored 26 goals in 26 appearances.

The Blues are in desperate need of some fine attacking talent after finding it difficult to hit the back of the net in this campaign. The fact that Diego Costa, whose scored just three goals this season, is the Blues top scorer, goes to show how big a mess the club are in right now.

The introduction of an inform talent such as Teixeira could possibly turn the season around for Chelsea, and this is a fact that has been identified by their owner Roman Abramovich and incoming interim manager Guus Hiddink.

Shakhtar were facing a massive fight on their hands to keep Teixeira in Ukraine, but that has proven to be impossible, especially now that they do not have the lure of Champions League football anymore. If this report is true, then Chelsea have pulled off a major coup by signing a Shakhtar legend whose scored 89 goals for them in over 220 appearances and it’s almost certain that this move will pay off.
