Crystal Palace to place £20million bid for Tottenham’s striking target

According to reports, Crystal Palace could be set to launch a €25 million bid for Tottenham target Cenk Tosun.

The Eagles are in a bad situation at the moment, having lost all several of their Premier League games thus far, conceding 17 goals in the process while failing to score one.

They have now made signing a new striker a priority during the summer and Tosun is on top of their wish list. The 26 year old boasts 35 goals from 86 League appearances for Besiktas.

The Eagles could face competition from Spurs who have also been linked with the player. There is a good chance however that a move to Palace will materialize and Tosun will know that he will stand a better chance of getting first team football at Selhurst Park.

The player himself confirmed that he nearly moved to Palace during the summer, saying, “Crystal Palace offered €13.5 million on transfer deadline day. Had they made the bid a week earlier I would be playing in the Premier league right now.

“I would only leave Besiktas if I made my club money and if the circumstances are right. Now I’m focused on winning my third consecutive league title, playing Champions League football and focusing on international football.”
