Tottenham Hotspur are looking at the possibility of signing Ajax centre-back Davinson Sanchez, according to reports.

The 21-year-old Sanchez impressed for the Dutch giants last season, scoring six goals from 43 appearances and helped the club reach the final of the Europa League where they lost to Manchester United.

Spurs are the only team in the English top flight that have yet to make a signing this summer. At the moment, signing a new defender is not one of the club’s main priorities but bringing in a new right back is.

Kyle Walker departed the club this summer to join Manchester City for £50 million and Spurs have not brought in a replacement as of yet.

Kieran Trippier is expected to be the clubs first choice right back this season and while Kyle-Walker Peters is highly rated, his inexperience at the highest level is not ideal for him to provide cover for Trippier at this point in time as Spurs look to challenge for trophies.
