Probable Manchester United Starting Lineup Against Swansea City

They say lightning doesn’t strike twice, but it does at Old Trafford. Two 1-0 defeats in December against Everton and Newcastle put pay to that idea. It then turned out that lightning can strike 3 times as the last three matches have all resulted in 2-1 defeats. Swansea were responsible for one of these and Moyes must ensure that there is no 4th time repeater on the cards.

Big Guns

The big guns are going to have to be brought back in for the visit of the Welsh side that deservedly snatched a victory under a week ago at Old Trafford. Moyes simply has to do whatever he can to try to stem the flow of unsatisfactory results. There’s only so much the United faithful will stand for, and things are getting out of hand in the eyes of many.

Wayne Rooney will come back into the fold and Robin Van Persie may also be in line for a shock return, in fact, I’m going out on a limb and predicting that he will start. Moyes has been tight lipped on the chances of a return for the Dutchman, but it’s crisis time and he and Rooney are clearly the two men for the job in most people’s eyes.

Key Performers

Janujaz has been the one shining light to come out of this season, yes he has a diving problem, but so did Ronaldo when he first came in at Old Trafford. If managed correctly, the young star could go on to achieve massive things for the club, plus, he plays without fear, something that cannot be said of many others in the side right now.

Carrick has been out over the festive period, but his return to full fitness will certainly help as United attempt to salvage something from the season. It’s who he plays with that will make the difference. Moyes seems to have a confusingly strong amount of faith in Tom Cleverley who, along with Antonio Valencia, has practically featured in every game this season. It’s time now for that to change and with the return of Darren Fletcher, United have the opportunity to field two experienced central midfielders that can hold things together until the hopeful arrival of a big name this month.

Here’s the prediction for the team that simply has to take 3 points this weekend…..
