Pachuca Femenil are sixth in Group B with 10 points, three behind fourth-place Pumas UNAM, with Atlas also in the way. Three rounds remain after this weekend, so the margin for error is shrinking.
Sunday is also a celebration: the match closes Club America’s 110th anniversary program at Estadio Banorte, with fan activities before kickoff.
The fixture carries final history, too: Pachuca Femenil beat Club America Femenil in the Clausura 2025 final, 3-2 on aggregate, to lift the first league title in their history.
Club America Femenil answered with the Clausura 2026 title and are the defending champions. In 31 league meetings between the clubs, they lead the series 17 wins to 11.

Montse Tomé’s first big test. Tomé, who led Spain to the UEFA Women’s Nations League title and the Euro 2025 final, took over at Pachuca Femenil in September. Her debut ended in defeat to Toluca, and this is her second match.
A nine-tournament streak on the line. Pachuca Femenil have reached the Liguilla in nine straight tournaments, back to the Clausura 2022. Outside the top four, they cannot afford many more slip-ups.
Charlyn Corral at the Banorte. Corral, Pachuca Femenil’s top scorer this season with four goals, scored twice in the first leg of that final. She also scored for Mexico during the international break.
