Puebla will host Club America at the Estadio Cuauhtemoc this Tuesday, February 4, 2020 (8:30 PM Pacific) for a pending match from Week 1 of the Liga MX 2020 Clausura season.
Club America is coming off a very rough match against FC Juarez at home as the Mexico City team lost 3-1 to Los Bravos. Fullback Jorge Sanchez received a red card just three minutes into that match and will consequently not be available for this match.
America manager Miguel Herrera did not leak his starting XI ahead of this match like he normally does. However, there are obvious changes that are expected within the lineup after the loss to Juarez.
Fox Sports reporter Carlos Rodrigo Hernandez leaked the lineup that “Piojo” used in his training session ahead of this match. It was as follows: Guillermo Ochoa, Luis Fuentes, Emanuel Aguilera, Bruno Valdez, Paul Aguilar, Richard Sanchez, Sebastian Cordova, Andres Ibarguen, Leonardo Suarez, Giovani Dos Santos, Henry Martin.
Luis Fuentes would come in for the suspended Jorge Sanchez at left-back and Sebastian Cordova would replace Fernando Gonzalez in the midfield. The rest of the 11 would be exactly the same as the team that lost to FC Juarez over the weekend.
La alineación que ocupó Miguel Herrera en el entrenamiento previo al partido ante Puebla es la siguiente. @CentralFOXMX @FOXSportsMX
Ochoa
Paul
Bruno
Aguilera
Fuentes
Richard
Córdova
Ibargüen
Leo Suárez
Gio
Henry— Carlos Rodrigo Hernández (@crh_oficial) February 3, 2020
New signing Leonardo Suarez will seek another opportunity in this match as he played just 26 minutes against Juarez in his first start for the capital city team. This lineup has talented players, but is still missing some key players like Federico Vinas and Nicolas Benedetti, who are playing in the CONMEBOL Olympic qualifiers with their respective national teams.
