Jon Moss is set to referee the game between Everton and Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Moss was subjected to intense criticism during the weekend after the awarded Tottenham two penalties within the space of a few minutes during Spurs 2-2 draw with the Reds during the weekend.
The referee was also seen to have asked fourth official Martin Atkinson for help from television after Harry Kane was brought down by Loris Karius but VAR was not in use during the game.
Moss wanted to clarify as to whether Kane had received the ball in an offside position.
The Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PMGOL) released a statement on Monday saying Moss was “misguided” but insisted that Atkinson did not pass on any information.
Moss received criticism for the second penalty which Spurs were awarded. Saturday’s game between Palace and Everton will be the fourth Toffees game that Moss oversees this season.
