Ex-Liverpool player evaluates Reds’ pacey forward over £100 million

Anfield

Sky Sports have broadcasted the words of the former Liverpool defender, Phil Babb, who believes that Mohamed Salah’s worth exceeds £100 million.

The 25-year-old forward is by far the most important Liverpool player this season and among the best in the Premier League. He has bagged 21 goals and provided 7 assists in 25 league games, and is currently second-best goalscorer in EPL behind Harry Kane.

His brilliant performances have drawn attention from Florentino Perez, who would like to bring the left-footed winger as a replacement for the underperforming Gareth Bale.

However, the former Roma star is an indispensable first-team player for the Reds, and manager Jurgen Klopp is not willing to let him leave over the summer.

Babb is confident in Salah’s quality and thinks Liverpool should look for at least £100 million for him.

“It’s well over £100m now,” Babb told Premier League Daily. “His low centre of gravity and his ability to just waltz past players, it’s just an exceptional goal. He is one of the hottest properties in world football there is no shadow of a doubt.”

The Egyptian has demonstrated his class against Tottenham on Sunday, with two goals, tormenting the Spurs’ defense all game long.

It would be hard for the Merseyside club to keep Salah at Anfield, but there’s no doubt they’ll give their best.
