Aston Villa complete major transfer on deadline day

Aston Villa have signed Lewis Grabban on loan from Bournemouth till the end of the season.

The 30-year-old is a major coup for the Villains as Grabban will be able to provide good cover for Jonathan Kodjia, who is out of action till the end of the season.

During the first-half of the season, the striker went on to score 12 goals in the Championship for strugglers Sunderland before returning to his parent club this month.

Following Grabban’s impressive displays during the first half of the season, the Cherries were hoping to sell him on a permanent basis but were unable to find a buyer.

Villa were unable to land permanent signings this month due to Financial Fair Play concerns so a loan deal will be seen as a major coup.

The Villains will be hoping that Grabban can help them achieve their ambition on promotion this season.
