Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan has dealt a huge blow on the January transfer ambitions of Premier League trio Everton, Tottenham and Newcastle after he revealed he won’t be leaving the Championship outfit this month.
The 24-year-old has caught the eyes of all and sundry with his versatility and attacking abilities which have returned 5 goals and 2 assists this term, but he insists he is fully concentrated on helping Bristol win topflight promotion.
Bryan revealed: “If you’re playing well, you’re going to get interest. I’m always committed to the club, it’s my hometown club and I’m really looking forward to trying to achieve promotion.”
Everton want a top quality left-back as a replacement and proper cover for 33-year-old Leighton Baines who is currently injured.
Spurs are looking for a player to succeed Danny Rose who could on his way out of north London by summer, but it remains to be seen if the Magpies are still keen on Bryan having signed Chelsea’s Kenedy on loan.
That Bryan can also play on the left of the midfield and attack is an added boost to his c.v, and he looks capable of making the step up to the topflight.
It remains to be seen if he could be tempted to consider a Premier League switch by summer if his side fail to promote.
