Rangers defender reportedly heading towards USA

According to the ESPN, the MLS side Colorado Rapids have signed Rangers defender Danny Wilson.

Colorado’s new coach, Anthony Hudson is determined to boost a fairly competitive squad that ended up second in Western Conference last season, as he already brought seven players after appointed as the new chief of staff.

The former Liverpool defender’s contract with the Gers was about to expire in six months, without any signs of potential extension.

However, it is a little strange that Wilson decided to leave Ibrox after managing to establish himself as a regular starter under Graeme Murty. Maybe the recent arrival of Russell Martin forced the powerful defender to consider his options.

There have been some speculations regarding the potential departure of the 26-year-old centre-back over the last couple of weeks.

Now it seems that the deal is finally made, with Wilson heading towards the USA after a quite successful first half of the season in the Scottish Premiership.
