Liverpool reportedly handed huge blow in hopes of signing £92million target

Liverpool have been dealt a major blow in their pursuit of Thomas Lemar as the youngster reportedly wants a move to Barcelona.

Lemar who is valued at around £92 million has been touted as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho at Liverpool.

Arsenal have also expressed an interest in signing the youngster after having several bids turned down during the summer.

Liverpool do have money to spend after selling Coutinho this month for £142 million and have also been linked with a move for Leicester City star Riyadh Mahrez.

Lemar played a crucial role for Monaco last season as he helped his side shock the world of football last season as they went on to win the Ligue 1 title as well as reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

He however has not been as prolific this season as he has gone on to score just three goals from 22 matches in all competitions.
