Danny Murphy has praised the form of West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic and said that the Austrian could even move to a bigger club during the summer.

Arnautovic arrived at the London Stadium from Stoke last summer and was criticized for his early season performances under Slaven Bilic, as the Hammers flirted with relegation.

However, since David Moyes was appointed as manager of the club, his performances have improved significantly and he has been arguably the best player in the Hammers first team during recent months.

As a result of his impressive performances up front, Murphy feels that the Hammers could attract offers for Arnautovic during the summer.

“It was a clever move from David Moyes to move Arnautovic more central,” Murphy wrote in the London Evening Standard.

“He is playing with the bit between his teeth at the moment but, unfortunately for West Ham, if he keeps this going until the end of the season, then one of the bigger teams will be looking at him.”
