As per Football Insider, Leeds United are keen on bringing Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Forshaw to Elland Road this transfer window, as manager Thomas Christiansen has requested for his services.
The Spanish boss wants a player capable of adding drive and bite to Leeds’ midfield, and the 26-year-old has emerged as his top target.
Having fallen out of favour under new Boro manager Tony Pulis, Forshaw could be on his way out of the Riverside Stadium this month, but the Whites aren’t alone in his pursuit.
Cardiff are also keen, with boss Neil Warnock keen on the valuable experience of the former Everton man.
Forshaw helped Middlesbrough to Premier League promotion 2 seasons ago, and Leeds can sure do with his top services as they look to finally return to the topflight after more than a decade away.
While the trio of Kalvin Phillips, Eunan O’Kane and Ronaldo Vieira has been integral to the cause this term, Forshaw seems like the upgrade Leeds could do with, but they will have to pay a substantial fee to land him with 2 years still left on his current contract.
