Liverpool reportedly interested in South American superstar to replace Philippe Coutinho

James Rodriguez

Liverpool are reportedly interested in the signature of Colombian international James Rodriguez to replace Philippe Coutinho, who moved to Barcelona for a whopping £142 million this current transfer window.

James Rodriguez is currently on loan at Bayern Munich form Real Madrid on a two-year deal and is enjoying rejuvenation in his form following a couple of dry seasons with Madrid.

This fine form has seen the Colombian’s stock rise again and consequently Liverpool have now shown interest in the talented midfielder.

Rodriguez will be an ideal fit for Liverpool and will probably be able to replace Coutinho directly as both have similar skillsets, should the Reds sign the 26-year-old.

However, signing Rodriguez will be difficult task especially after considering the logistics of the move as the ex-Porto man is in a two year loan deal with Bayern Munich, while being contracted with Real Madrid at the time of writing.
