According to L’Equipe, Everton are interested in the services of Lille striker Martin Terrier following a breakthrough campaign during his current loan spell at Strasbourg.
The Toffees have had the 20-year-old on their radar since last term and even scouted him on several occasions.
With 3 goals and 2 assists to his name in 11 Ligue 1 starts, Terrier, who has played mainly as a supporting striker, is drawing Everton’s attention again as he finally starts to fulfill his potential.
Manager Sam Allardyce needs more goalscoring options despite only just bringing in Cenk Tosun from Turkey, and the France under-21 international looks like a perfect fit.
Terrier has weighed in 7 goals in 5 appearances for his country, and his pace and work-rate could see him light up the Goodison Park if a move can work out.
The highly-promising youngster is also attracting French duo Monaco and Lyon, with the latter keen on offering £18million for his signature.
So, Everton have fierce competition to beat and some money to splash if they are to prise Terrier away from Lille and Strasbourg this window.
