Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan has told his manager Steve Bruce to end his striker search.
Hogan struggled to find the back of the net during the opening parts of the season and Villa were dealt a blow following injuries to last season’s top scorer Jonathan Kodjia as well as Gabby Agbonlahor.
Youngster Keinan Davis has made the most of the opportunities given to him and has been impressive though he does lack experience.
Villa have been linked with the likes of Olivier McBurnie, Lewis Grabban and Leonardo Ulloa but Hogan who has been in good form recently, having scored two goals in his sides last two games believes that they do not need to make additions.
Hogan said “I will tell the manger ‘don’t bother’ signing a striker. If you want to go and get someone, go on. But he isn’t going to play because i will keep my place. Im not giving it up now.”
He also added “I know what i am good at. I have done it all my career. I have scored goals wherever I have been and the stats back it up. People say what they want and are well within their rights to. I have never played for a big, big club before. this is my first time. I have not helped myself sometimes in the way I have performed.”
