Swansea striker Wilfried Bony has said that his club were unlucky to have drawn 1-1 with Newcastle on Saturday.
Jordan Ayew put the Swans ahead during the 60thminute, however Joselu managed to rescue a point for the home side.
The Swans nearly won the game, however Ayew had his effort cleared off the line by Magpies defender DeAndre Yedlin.
The result leaves the Swans rooted to the bottom of the standings and they are now four points adrift of safety.
Newcastle meanwhile are in 15th position on the standings and are three points above the relegation zone.
“I think we dropped two points today,” Bony said. “To go home with one point is not bad, but we should have done better. I was frustrated not to take my chances in front of goal today.
“I think we were unlucky not to get the win. That is the way football is sometimes. It was a crazy end to the game. We were pushing for the win and I had a chance to get the goal we needed.
“It was like a big present, but the chance was blocked off the line. It is a frustration for me not to score. I just have to stay focused.”
